Preparing for IT-Services Interviews.

Preparing for IT-Services Interviews is not an easy task, especially for the freshers. It’s not difficult as it looks. I would like to give advice to fellow members who are looking to crack job interviews at IT services companies:
Pre-Interview:
- Research the company, check their social media pages
- Know your interviewers/recruiters well in advance
- Understand the job description and customize your resume
- Prepare for aptitude tests, programming & skill tests
- Keep your list of references handy
- Prepare well for behavioral and technical questions
- Prepare a list of questions to ask your interviewer at the end

During the interview:
- Be present well before your interview time
- Dress decently and be punctual
- Make an outstanding and impressive opening remark
- Be confident in your body language
- Present answers relevant to your skills and accomplishments
- What to say and what not to say?
- Ask relevant questions to the interviewer

Post-interview:
- Acknowledge your experience after the interview
- Send a personalized thank-you note after the interview
- Don’t stalk your interviewers on social media
- Begin preparation for the next round of interviews
- Take gentle follow-up, in case no revert received in 3-5 days

Since the hiring is going to be on such a huge scale which means there is going to be a direct impact on competition and peer pressure, it is advisable to up your game by adding a few functional and cross functional skills if you want to get through this situation fair and square.

Also, it is a good idea to lookout for people coming out of their jobs to follow their passion projects so as to attain a well rounded experience with a startup for those who are interested in upskilling while working.
